Hercule harbour
Hercule is one of the two harbours of Monaco harbour, with Fontvieille harbour. It is nested in a natural bay, on the side of the ancestal Rock of Monaco. This is the only deep-water harbour of the French Riviera. This state-of-the-art marina welcomes up to 700 boats, from small pleasure boats to magnificent luxury yachts. In 1995, the famous James Bond movie GoldenEye was made in this harbour area.
With its 700 berths, 30 of which are reserved to visitors, Hercule harbour enjoys an international reputation, and a prestigious image with amateur yachtsmen. The outer jetty is 30 metre deep, and the outer harbour 40 metres, with from 5 to 30 metre deep basins. Aft mooring is done at dock, and at anchor gears at the front. In the 70s, at the instigation of S.A.S Le Prince Rainier III, developments were undertaken. A sea wall and a counter-jetty were built to shelter the harbour from strong East winds. These works allow the harbour to welcome 35 to 60 metre long boats.
This harbour offers different services meant to meet amateur yachtsmen's essential needs. Comers have access to freshwater, at dock and at pontoon electricity (220V / 380V), bathrooms (20 showers and 20 toilets), pay phones, an onboard phone on demand, and a launderette. Amateur yachtsmen can also have access to waste-oil sumps and battery containers, household refuse collection, a refuelling station, as well as a free black water pumping on request.
