Port de la Darse - Villefranche sur Mer Description :

Port de la Darse

Port de la Darse marina

Listed historical monument in 1990, Port de la Darse is located in Villefranche-sur-Mer harbor, on the French Riviera. This is a former naval harbor that dates from 1550 and that became a royal harbor in 1713, when a dry dock was built. Today, this is a lovely, welcoming and well-located marina, not far away from the city of Nice, and from the port of Saint-Louis du Mourillon, in the bay of Toulon.

In order to get there, amateur yachtsmen have to enter the harbor and go along the west side almost until the end, after the oceanologic observatory, and before the citadel. Port de la Darse is very easy to access whatever the weather, since its geographical location allows it to be well downwind.

This is a human-scale harbor, with only 500 berths. It can welcome up-to-40-meter-long-and-8-meter-large boats.

Port de la Darse is especially appealing for the many services that are offered there. You will have access to main services such as running water, electricity, telephone, internet, bathrooms, a refueling station, waste-oil sumps, toxic-waste containers, a dry dock, and two cranes.

Port de la Darse also offers the good services of a representative who will help you berth and cast off. You also have the possibility to have your shopping delivered, and to get the help of a divers team in the harbor. You will feel completely safe thanks to police patrols, and the installation of cctv cameras.
