Carry-le-Rouet - Carry-le-rouet Description :

Carry le Rouet harbour

Carry-le-Rouet is a charming harbour, nested between Marseille, Martigues and Berre pond. With its 582 berths, 40 of which are rings meant for passing through visitors, Carry-le-Rouet is a perfect port of call that allows you to enjoy all the nearby harbours. The closest ones are Marseille harbour and Martigues harbour set, which has 9 marinas, with a total capacity of about 3,000 boats. This proximity is very practical if Carry-le-Rouet harbour is full.

Carry-le-Rouet harbour has a medium-scale capacity, of 582 berths. The harbour is well-sheltered from West to North-West winds, and boats can moor at floating pontoons with buoys. The outer harbour and basin depth is 4 metres. As this harbour is much frequented during the high season, passing through crews are advised to book a berth in advance with the harbour master's office. The nearness of the 9 Martigues harbours allow them to always find a berth.

The services meant for amateur yachtsmen include freshwater, electricity (220 V/16 A), bathrooms (2 toilets, 4 showers), and a pay phone. This marina also has waste-oil sumps, a 9 metric ton crane, and a refuelling station in front of the harbour master's office. The refuelling station is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the season, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. out of the season (and closed Sundays).

Carry-le-Rouet is also a seaside resort, which still has its magnificent character architecture from the end of the 19th century. It is a very much appreciated port of call, thanks to its beautiful rocky inlets, beaches, and to the offer of a wide range of fun and sports activities.
